SERVICES

Erosion control in San Diego County.

Fiber rolls, silt fence, stabilized construction entrances, pumping, straw matting, washout pits and related erosion-control measures.

THE SCOPE

Active erosion and sediment controls.

Developers, builders, general contractors, and public-sector clients use this scope with grading work. The measures are fiber rolls, silt fence, stabilized construction entrances, pumping, straw matting, washout pits, and related controls. They stay in the site operation while grading continues.

Washout at Canopy Grove in Escondido, for Lennar, is the named job that matches the washout pits. That job also recorded desilting-basin work with the finish grade, the street subgrade, and the sidewalk grade.

01

Field conditions

San Diego grading has to keep erosion and sediment controls active while construction is underway. Fiber rolls and silt fence hold the perimeter and the slope while the grade is open. Straw matting covers disturbed ground. Stabilized construction entrances take the traffic leaving the site. Washout pits give the job a contained place to wash out, and that is the named measure at Canopy Grove. Pumping moves water that is in the way of the grade. Desilting-basin work is on the Canopy Grove record with the washout. Desilting-basin grading is on the Melrose record with finish grading and slope repair.

02

Equipment

The measures run with the grading fleet already on the job. Excavators cover excavation when a washout pit or a basin is part of that earthwork. Loaders and haul trucks are the material handling around a site that is still being graded. The controls are maintained with those operations, in the same daily sequence as the grade.

03

Coordination

At Canopy Grove, washout and desilting-basin work sat with finish grading, street subgrade, sidewalk grading, and compaction. As those scopes move, the entrance, the washout, and the perimeter controls have to stay matched to the haul and to the ground that is actually disturbed. Melrose recorded desilting-basin grading with slope repair and finish grading, the same overlap between earthwork and the ground that has to stay protected.

04

Production work

On a production community the disturbed ground changes as phases release, so the controls are maintained with the daily operation. Lennar at Canopy Grove in Escondido is the named job. The scope is also written for developers, general contractors, and public-sector clients. The project on the record is production residential. Entrances, washout, and perimeter measures are kept matched to the haul and to the phase that is open.
